Anti-harassment Policy

Effective date: December 05, 2018

We are “Universal Crypto” (“we”, “us” and “our”), registered under the company name “U.C.B.C. Ltd”.

U.C.B.C. Ltd is a company incorporated and registered in Cyprus with company number HE388201 whose registered office is Iris house, office 240C, 8 John Kennedy, 3106, Limassol, Cyprus. We are organisers of conferences and events related to “Nakamoto’s Den” (“the Conference”).

We are dedicated to providing an enjoyable, respectful and harassment-free event experience for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks.

We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form and we expect all participants to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference, without a refund, at the discretion of the conference organisers.

Harassment includes verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Exhibitors in the expo hall, sponsor or vendor booths, or similar activities are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing / uniforms / costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social events.

Emergency Contact Details

We have volunteers on site, many of whom are women and are clearly identifiable by their volunteer t-shirts. They have been briefed to immediately escalate incidents to the executives at Universal Crypto, who will in turn escalate to the venue coordinator, who will then liaise with medical or security staff, or Police, where required.

Additionally, there are easily identifiable security staff, throughout the venue, who are professionally trained according to best practices for events of this size and nature.
