Furthermore, from September of 2013 until June of 2014, Mrs. Kalogerou has been a member of the Resolution Authority, with the Minister of Finance and the Governor of Central Bank of Cyprus, which supervised the implementation of the resolution of financial institutions in Cyprus. Additionally, Mrs. Kalogerou previously held the position of a Senior Officer of the Cyprus Stock Exchange and overall she has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial sector. Her duties as a Senior Officer at the CSE included the supervision of transactions in transferable securities and the various CSE markets, the monitoring of compliance of listed public companies with their continuous obligations, the research and development of new products, as well as the promotion of financial markets. Irene PikiIrene joined the government in 1997 and has held a number of policy-related positions. She worked for ten years in the department responsible for EU regional policy. During the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2012, she was Head of the Programme and Policy Coordination Unit. In the period from 2014 to 207, she was Head of Better Regulation, Investment and Entrepreneurship Division at the Unit of Administrative Reform (UAR) in the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus, responsible for the formulation and implementation of the new Growth Agenda. In this capacity, she was one of the main authors of the Policy Statement of Enhancing the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, approved by the Council of Ministers in 2015. She monitored and steered its implementation until February 2018 and played a catalytic role in the implementation of actions like participation in GEM, tax incentives for innovative firms and start-ups and startup visa. Since March 2018 she is the head of the office of the Minister of Finance. She is currently a member of the Blockchain working group formulated by the government.
